Toyota Racing Development (TRD) is looking for motivated high performing students. TRD inspires the hearts and minds of racing fans by advancing automotive engineering and maximizing racetrack success. A TRD internship offers students the potential for valuable learning opportunities outside the classroom within a close fast paced goal-oriented environment.
As an intern at TRD you will be considered an integral part of theteam and will be provided with tasks that are both technically challenging and educationally stimulating. You will:
- Gain new experiences related to your major
- Apply classroom learning through hands-on applications
- Network with professionals in your field of interest
- Test drive a career and get a better grasp ofyour goals and interests
- Expand your technical skills
Students will be assigned to teams most related to their field of study and gain exposure to the many facets of motorsports including:
- Aerodynamics
- Chassis engineering
- CNC programming
- Engine design and development
- Engine production
- Manufacturing
- Simulation
Positions may be in: Costa Mesa CA or Salisbury NC
A successful candidate will:
Be actively enrolled in a full-time accredited bachelors or above degree program studying one ofthe following disciplines:
- Automotive Technology
- Computer Science
- Manufacturing Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- be a Junior or Senior with a cumulative 3.0 GPA or higher
- be able to work a 12-week summer internship
- have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- have working knowledge of computer application software
- be able to work independently with minimal supervision
