We are looking for a Configuration Management Specialist (CMS3) to support the Configuration Data Management function on the MIPSS CMDM contract located at Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville AL to start soon!

General Summary:

Mid- career Configuration and Data Management professional with demonstrated skills is needed in functionalities involving management of configuration and program data supporting configuration management processes as well as data deliverables from prime contractors utilizing existing information systems/tools in a hardware development environment at NASA/Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC). The role supports the Human Lander System (HLS) Program Office and includes managing data and utilizing established processes to ensure the program technical baseline and data is maintained. A key component of this position is understanding of and expertise with change management processes and handling sensitive data such as Proprietary Export Controlled or Limited Rights data. Relevant experience using data management tools such as Windchill Jira and MS SharePoint is required. Successful implementation of this job requires initiative and expertise to maintain appropriate data availability while meeting NASA/MSFC security requirements.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Interface with personnel in the Human Lander System (HLS) office to support data deliverables processing via the provided suite of tools/systems.
• Provide Secretariat support to the Project Control Board and other boards/technical meetings including development and maintenance of charters agendas minutes and action logs.
• Utilize SharePoint for managing access to and storing Program data.
• Implement configuration management in the electronic environment.
• Support the HLS Configuration and Data Management (CDM) team in CDM- related process implementations relative to change management.
• Maintain process/work instructions to support various HLS CM and DM processes.
• Manage access to data and work areas in electronic tools and libraries.
• Participate in audits of HLS Program and Prime Contractor data as requested.
• Support HLS control board and technical meetings including action tracking review of presentation charts and uploading required meeting data.

Job Specifications:

• Bachelors Degree and a minimum of 11 years of applicable experience is required. The following may be substituted for the Bachelors Degree requirement: High School Diploma and 14 yrs experience. A Masters degree may be used to substitute for 3 yrs experience. The following may be substituted for the Bachelors degree requirement: Associates Degree and 2 additional yrs experience -or- High School Diploma and 4 additional yrs experience.
• Knowledge of Information Technology (IT)/ automated data management tools such as Windchill Jira and SharePoint are required.
• Understanding of CDM functions such as change management utilizing tools for change and action tracking and development of agendas and minutes is required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Excel PowerPoint and ACCESS (or similar database) is highly desired.
• Experience in process-based tasks in a dynamic environment is desired.
• Experience with handling sensitive data is desired.
• Ability to obtain clearance/access onsite at NASA MSFC required.
• Professional CDM certification such as National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) CDM certification or equivalent is desired.
• US Citizenship required.
