Position Overview
We are hiring an enthusiastic Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a 13-week assignment in a long-term care facility. The nurse will be responsible for ensuring high-quality care maintaining accurate health records and supporting residents well-being in a collaborative care environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer medications and monitor health status of residents
- Provide assistance with daily living activities and mobility needs
- Document care accurately and communicate resident updates effectively
- Work alongside RNs and providers to implement personalized care plans
- Encourage residents emotional and psychological health
- Support infection control practices and safety initiatives
- Engage families in the care process for continuity of care
- Mentor CNAs and assist support staff in performing quality care
Requirements
- Active LPN license in New York
- Graduate of an accredited program
- Current BLS certification
- Background in LTC or senior care preferred
- Team-oriented mindset with solid critical-thinking skills
