Job Summary
Irving Forest Services is seeking a skilled Automation and Operational Technology Systems Specialist to join ourMaintenanceteam. This role plays a critical part in maintaining and enhancing the reliability security and performance of our operational technology systems in a 24/7 industrial environment.
Responsibilities
- Implement manage and maintain cybersecurity measures for information and operational technology systems
- Program troubleshoot and commission electrical control system equipment
- Support capital projects through planning design and commissioning of logic and equipment
- Respond to operational requests for assistance with electrical equipment in a fast-paced continuous operation setting
- Collaborate with plant operations teams to drive continuous improvement in process control systems
- Occasionally supervise E&I Technicians in day-to-day maintenance activities
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Industrial Control Technology Diploma or Trades Certification in Instrumentation or Electrical
- 58 years of industrial experience
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity best practices in operational technology
- Experience with Distributed Control Systems (preferably Honeywell DCS)
- Familiarity with OT control networks including EtherNet/IP Modbus DeviceNet ControlNet OPCDA/OPCUA and SCADA systems
- Hands-on experience with electrical control systems Rockwell PLCs and VFDs
- Proven ability to engineer and implement projects effectively
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Strong project management capabilities
- Demonstrated leadership and teamwork skills
