Job Summary
This role is focused on certificate discovery and automation. Additional focus will be on operational support for the Venafi Platform application. Daily operations support includes system checks maintenance end-user support and problem resolution. Project work may also be assigned based on the clients needs. Daily operations support requires interactions with Subject Matter Experts as well as end-users at a variety of levels within the client organization. This team assists with registration of digital signatures and support. This team supports global sites and services making excellent written and verbal communication skills of high importance. Reading / research of Venafi serviceResearch ideas on discovery and certificate placementAnalyze certificate discoveries and determine placementDetermine who certificate owners areLooking for automation opportunitiesAccept new customer requests and add them in certificate requests and approve or revocation requests and approve or with customers regarding certificate versus Public certificatesWhich Entrust template is requiredAssist customer with certificate installation on various platformsScan Venafi for duplicate Common Names to reduce Venafi license Entrust Code signing certificate requests in the Entrust new domains and renew existing domains with Venafi for error events and resolve or escalate to Tier report to find Venafi policies that do not have assigned FIM the Entrust license totals and alert Tier 3 when they are with other PKI tasks such as offline CRL the daily and weekly PKI checks as defined in the ADCS research PKI problems or issues by performing internet searches or consulting repeatable job related duties as customers with registration and use of digital signaturesUnderstanding of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI)Self-motivated and self-drivenCritical thinking / logical executionKnowledge of Certificate ServicesUnderstanding of SSL certificatesBasic understanding of Group Manager tools and/or how to look up security groupsStrong drive for process improvements and solutionsAbility to write and understand technical documentationAbility to work with and talk to customersAbility to work independentlyAbility to operate well in a team environmentAbility to troubleshoot technology issuesFluent in EnglishExperience with an ITSM application preferably ServiceNowExperience in PKIExperience with servers / applications that require certificatesCertifications in ITIL MCSA or any relevant productsAbility to use Internet tools for translation to enable written communication with people speaking other with digital signaturesPowerShell scripting knowledge / experience
