Job Description
This Part-time Clerk is responsible for performing a variety of basic clerical office functions which may include typing record keeping document filing entering data entry copying faxing opening sorting and distributing mail and/or performing other related activities duties as assigned. The ideal candidate will need a thorough understanding of the assigned area and be flexible all while providing exceptional customer service and having good interpersonal and communication skills.
Essential Duties
- Greeting and assisting customers
- Answering and directing phone callsfrom the public
- Handling incoming communications from internal and external stakeholders
- Responding to inquiries regarding facility rentals programs and volunteer opportunities
- Maintaining and updating multiple calendars for scheduling facility rentals and educational programming events
- Providing administrative support to ensure smooth operations of K-12 field trips summer camps and other public programs
- Supporting the planning and execution of community-based educational programming and events
Public Speaking
- This position requires continuous interaction with the public and co-workers
Grade
- The grade for this position is 97. The salary will be dependent on education and experience
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two years of rental/hospitality facility/building maintenance
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above will also be considered
- Georgia drivers license
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree in hospitality facility/building maintenance or related field
- CPR (within 90 days)
- First Aid (within 90 days)
- Georgia drivers license
Other Job Requirements/Information
- This job requires fingerprinting
- This job will require a 50-pound lift test.
- Knowledge and use of office equipment such as telephones computers faxes two-way radio etc.
- Knowledge and use of office procedures and methods with applicable software
