Bachelors Degree Physical Therapy upon hire Required Or
Masters degree Physical Therapy upon hire Required Or
Other Doctorate Physical Therapy upon hire Required.

  • Other Board-certified Clinical Specialist Upon Hire Preferred:
  • Sports Certified Specialists (ABPTS)
  • Orthopedic Clinical Specialists (ABPTS)
  • Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist - CSCS (NSCA)

Two (2) years prior experience Or Residency-trained strongly preferred.

PT - Physical Therapist Texas - Physical Therapy License Upon Hire Required

BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required

Good verbal and written communication skills in English.

Problem-solving ability Ability to teach others and Time management skills.

Good interpersonal and customer service skills Basic leadership skills

What You Will Do

Performs age-appropriate patient assessment and establishes plan of care.

Performs treatment procedures/techniques that are within the scope of the professional license.

Educate patients and families through instruction demonstration and/or appropriate handouts in treatment plan safety issues home programs/self-management and assistive equipment.

Initiates therapy discharge planning in collaboration with care team and patient based on prognosis and expected discharge disposition.

Attends and/or leads hospital department and community meetings / educational in-services.

Strong commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration with local athletic trainers and physicians

Sports Medicine department

Work hours: Full-time 40 hours/week Monday-Thursday 7:00AM-6:00PM and Friday 7:00AM-4:00PM no weekends schedule varies.
