Requirements:
- Bachelors degree required; JD or CPCU designation a plus.
- 5 years of claims handling experience with specific expertise in New York Labor Law (240/241) claims.
- Strong technical knowledge of liability coverage and litigation processes.
- Excellent negotiation analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage a high-volume caseload with attention to detail and timeliness.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence outcomes.
Job Description:
- Handle a portfolio of high-exposure New York Labor Law (240/241) claims from initial investigation through final resolution.
- Analyze coverage liability and damages to set and maintain accurate reserves.
- Develop and execute litigation and settlement strategies in coordination with defense counsel.
- Attend mediations settlement conferences and trials as necessary.
- Provide clear timely communication to insureds brokers and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with company best practices policies and regulatory requirements.
- Mentor junior claims staff and serve as a subject matter expert on Labor Law claims.
