The FIT Family Partner position will have the opportunity to provide family-centered and strength-based family support to 4-6 families. We understand that it takes time to authentically connect and genuinely understand a familys needs. We are committed to ensuring that the team has the time and resources to meaningfully support the youth and family. The Family Partner is a vital member of the FIT program team. At Bay State Community Services (BSCS) we deeply value the lived experience that peer professionals bring to their work. With over 100 individuals at BSCS using their personal journeys to support others we recognize and appreciate the unique insight and empathy contributed by Family Partners Recovery Coaches Peer Mentors and other peer workers.
As a Family Partner you will have the opportunity to provide family-centered strength-based support to 46 families. We understand that authentic connection takes time and we are committed to ensuring that our teams have the resources and flexibility to meaningfully support youth and families.
What you will be doing to make a difference:
Be part of a dedicated and committed team including Clinicians Paraprofessionals and other behavioral health providers
Provide families with education support and resources
Guide families in focusing on their familys and childs strengths needs and goals
Empower caregivers to navigate child service systems with confidence and clarity.
Identify and connect caregiver(s) to formal and informal community resources
Collaborate with various youth-serving systems

Bachelors degree in a Human Service field and 1 year of experience working with the target population OR
Associates degree in the Human Service field and 1 year experience working with children/adolescent/or transitional age youth OR
High school diploma or High School Equivalency Test with a minimum of 2 years experience working with children/adolescents/or transitional age youth and experience in navigating child and family serving systems
Experience as a caregiver of a youth with special needs preferably a youth with behavioral health needs
Experience with navigating any of the child and family serving systems and supporting family members who are involved with the child and family serving systems
Experience in working collaboratively with state agencies consumer advocacy groups and/or behavioral health continuum of services
Bilingual ability desirable
Computer proficiency
Valid MA drivers license with acceptable driving record
Acceptable CORI and SORI background record check as required by program
