Job Description
ALBEMARLE COUNTY SERVICE AUTHORITY
HAS THE FOLLOWING EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY:
INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY TECHNICIAN
Position Summary: Supports and assists the IT Department in various technical and support functions; Serves as the SCADA Technician Assistant which includes the maintenance and troubleshooting of all SCADA appurtenances (e.g. cell modems PLCs HMIs etc.); Performs the role and functions of ACSAs physical security officer which includes the responsibility of monitoring and maintaining the physical security of ACSA including the CCTV security camera system and access controls. Functions as the field technician for GIS via GPS infrastructure locating and performing quality checks on spatial data.
Duties Include: Analyzes and monitor the SCADA system to ensure that control system components are functioning correctly and alarms are being monitored Installs inspects services maintains replaces and troubleshoots a variety of electrical and electronic/electro-mechanical equipment telemetry systems and other computerized process control equipment such as PLCs RTUs and SCADA system devices used in the ACSA system Ensure safe environment through security equipment installation monitoring troubleshooting and control Perform GIS data entry correction and maintenance utilizing field-based technology and support and assist the IT Department in all aspects.
Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED 1 years of professional work experience proficiency in basic computer use and valid Virginia Drivers License required.
Starting Salary Range $56185 $67422
