Job Summary

Radiation Therapist-Day Shift

Location: Watertown NY 13601

Duration: 13 weeks

Shift: 8hr Days; (8am-4:30p)

Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week

Weekly Pay Rate: $2800 - $2960; (Negotiable based on experience)

Responsibilities:

Deliver radiation therapy treatments as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist.
Operate TrueBeam linear accelerators and other radiation equipment.
Verify treatment plans and perform patient setup using imaging guidance.
Monitor patient condition and report any unusual reactions to treatment.
Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation.
Ensure safety protocols and quality control standards are strictly followed.
Provide emotional support and clear communication to patients and families.

Requirements:

Active New York Radiation Therapy License (must be in hand).
Minimum 1 year of experience in radiologic/imaging with preference for Oncology/Radiology.
TrueBeam experience required.
Graduate of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program.
ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification is required.
Current BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) certification.
Strong knowledge of anatomy physiology and medical terminology.
