Position Summary
The Nuclear Medicine Technologist is responsible for performing clinical diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures including general studies cardiac imaging and all related computer-based interactions. The role requires attention to detail technical accuracy and a commitment to high-quality patient care in accordance with established safety and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Perform a variety of nuclear medicine diagnostic tests and imaging procedures
Conduct cardiac and general nuclear studies using appropriate radiopharmaceuticals
Operate imaging and computer systems for data acquisition processing and documentation
Maintain patient safety and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and hospital policies
Ensure proper handling storage and disposal of radiopharmaceuticals
Collaborate with physicians and other care team members to provide quality diagnostic information
Accurately document procedures and maintain clinical records
Support a culture of patient-focused compassionate care
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited nuclear medicine program
One of the following certifications (required upon hire):
Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)
Registered Technologist Nuclear Medicine (RT-NM) through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
California Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification (upon hire)
Basic Life Support (BLS) American Heart Association (upon hire)
Experience and Education
Minimum of 1 2 years of experience in a clinical nuclear medicine setting
Certification-level education in nuclear medicine required
Full-time
