This position will report to the Information Technology Services (ITS) department and is part of the Business Services Division. There are about 85 positions in ITS. Manatee County ITS supports 14 departments and 8 other constitutional offices. There are about 2500 employees and contractors in the MCG departments.

The Business Services department has responsibilities that cover the Customer Service Center (CSC/helpdesk) the Project Management Office (PMO) Business Relationship Managers (BRMs) and Organizational Development.

This position will be a Business Analyst (BA) position and will be part of a team consisting of a Senior Manager 4 full-time BAs and 2 part-time BAs. This BA team and position are new capabilities for Manatee County.

It will be a hybrid position: the first few weeks will be 100% onsite to get up to speed followed by 2-3 days in the office and the remaining days remote.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide focus and engagement from identifying business problems to making appropriate technology choices.
Gather clear requirements from customers for projects initiated with ITS.
Assist departments in finding solutions to address their business problems and defined requirements.
Capture as-is and to-be workflows and processes.
Help departments understand and capture ROI total cost of ownership and the impact on their resources to implement chosen solutions.
Assist departments in understanding processes standards and governance.
