Job Summary (List Format):
- Position: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)
- Location Requirement: Must have active NY nursing license in hand
- Shift: 3x12 hour nights (19:00-07:00)
- Start Date: 10/6/25
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- First-time Travelers: Accepted
- Distance Requirement: Locals must live more than 75 miles away
- Certifications Required: ACLS BLS PALS
Key Responsibilities and Skills:
- Care for patients in a combined Adult/Pediatric Emergency Department
- Manage dysrhythmias and multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
- Obtain and interpret 12-lead EKGs
- Manage arterial lines and central lines
- Administer blood products
- Perform phlebotomy and start IVs
- Administer continuous IV sedation emergency medications and IV vasopressors
- Perform and monitor procedural sedation
- Provide care for CVA ortho-trauma abdominal pain and asthma patients
- Identify and report abuse
- Manage patients with mental/behavioral health conditions including acute psychosis drug overdose violent behavior psychiatric holds and suicidal ideation
- Assist with chest tube insertion/management CPAP/BiPAP and intubation
- Interpret ABGs
- Care for ventilated patients
- Follow isolation precautions
- Perform patient triage
