Job Description: Commercial Low Voltage Technician Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled Commercial Low Voltage Technician to install service and maintain structured cabling and low-voltage systems in commercial environments with a focus on healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will have experience in hospitals life-safety systems and nurse call installations while also being proficient in a variety of commercial low-voltage systems.
Key Responsibilities -
Install terminate and test structured cabling (Cat5e Cat6 fiber) in commercial environments.

Install service and troubleshoot nurse call systems intercoms and other healthcare communication systems.

Work in hospital environments following infection control and safety protocols.

Support installation of life-safety systems including cabling for fire alarm access control CCTV and related systems.

Read and interpret blueprints schematics and project specifications to complete installations accurately.
-
Maintain proper labeling documentation and as-built drawings for installed systems.
-
Collaborate with project managers site supervisors and other trades to ensure on-time high-quality project delivery.
-
Follow OSHA and site-specific safety requirements especially in healthcare settings.
Qualifications & Experience -
1 4 years of commercial low-voltage installation experience (healthcare experience preferred).

Hands-on experience with nurse call systems hospital communications and life-safety cabling.

Strong knowledge of cabling standards (TIA/EIA BICSI) and proper installation practices.

Ability to work in sensitive environments (hospitals active patient care areas) with professionalism and adherence to protocols.

Familiarity with test equipment (Fluke OTDR etc.) for cable certification.
-
Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
-
Ability to lift 50 lbs climb ladders and work in overhead/raised floor environments.

OSHA 10/30 BICSI or manufacturer certifications are a plus.

Valid drivers license and ability to travel to project sites.
