Summary The Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences housed in the College of Health Professions is seeking a motivated organized and dedicated individual to fill the position of Program Manager. The Program Manager provides administrative and operational support to the Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Sciences and Masters of Medical Laboratory Sciences programs. They ensure that activities are carried out in compliance with program policies manage department admissions (undergraduate and graduate) support student recruitment activities manage multimedia communications and manage other operational activities as assigned. Responsibilities - Provide administrative and operational support for the Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Sciences and Masters of Medical Laboratory Sciences programs.
- Review and prepare student applications for admissions review.
- Acquire maintain and apply knowledge of university college and program policies and processes.
- Assist with marketing and event planning including development of marketing material according to VCU brand standards.
- Assist with recruitment events (ex. Open House).
- Responsible to collecting data and generating departmental reports.
- Scholarship administration (departmental awarded).
- Communicate with all students and faculty regarding all aspects of the programs.
- Assist with planning MLS graduation activities and other special events.
- Manages the departments social media and other communication platforms.

| Qualifications | Required Qualifications - Bachelors degree in a relevant field and 1 to 3 years of relevant professional experience or equivalent combination of education training and experience.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Ability to collect and analyze data for general statistical reports in support of department goals.
- Strong proficiency in Google Suite Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
- Complete tasks without immediate supervision.
- Confidentiality and professionalism in an office setting.
- Demonstrated ability to work in and foster an environment of respect professionalism and civility with a population of faculty staff and students from all backgrounds and experiences or a commitment to do so as a staff member at VCU.
Preferred Qualifications - Bachelors degree or Masters degree in medical laboratory science.
- Nationally recognized MLS or MT certification (specialist and/or generalist).
- Previous working experience in higher education.
