Principal Technician Global Pharma and Nutraceuticals

Location: Bridgewater NJ

Workplace type: On-Site @ Ingredion R&D Center Bridgewater New Jersey

Ingredion is looking for a dedicated and experienced Principal Technician to support our pharmaceutical laboratory team in conducting material characterization and pharmaceutical application work under our R & D support of Ingredion Pharma Solutions strategic objectives and in alignment with our business operations under Pharmaceutical and Nutraceutical this candidate will support all laboratory and pilot plant activities under Application/Product development Product and Manufacturing support plus Customer support.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of laboratory procedures excellent attention to detail and the ability to work with precision and accuracy. This role will report to the Pharma and Nutraceutical Lead Formulation Scientist.

What you will do:

  • Under supervision learn and execute laboratory techniques in material and application analysis to support product application development product transfers as well as manufacturing process initiatives.
  • Learn and use pharmaceutical tableting equipment as well as corresponding tableting analytical techniques.
  • Learn and use various analytical equipment like particle size analyzers polarimeter SEM (Scanning electron microscopy) and various wet and dry chemistry methods.
  • Perform routine laboratory tests and analyses on pharmaceutical and nutraceutical raw materials and finished products.
  • Record and document test results accurately and systematically for review and interpretation. Be able to write accurate report on findings.
  • Operate maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment and instruments.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and cleanliness standards in the laboratory.
  • Prepare materials for pharmaceutical application work and analysis.
  • Receive and manage laboratory supplies and inventory.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of new laboratory procedures.

What you will bring:

  • Bachelors degree in an applicable science field with industry laboratory and/or pilot plant experience (4 to 7years) for a Principal Technician level.
  • Prefer Pharmaceutical and Nutraceutical laboratory or Food industry experience.
  • General Laboratory experience is a must.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of laboratory health and safety procedures.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle large equipment is necessary.
  • Working knowledge of software programs such as Word Excel PowerPoint etc.

Pay Range:

$58160.00-$77546.67 Annual

This pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Final base salary will be determined based on several factors which may include but are not limited to responsibilities of the job education experience knowledge skills and abilities as well as internal equity alignment with market data and applicable bargaining agreement (if any).

Incentive Compensation:

As a part of the total compensation package this role may be eligible for the Ingredion Annual Incentive Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus.
