The Company:

Pacific Aerospace & Electronics (PacAero) is seeking two Laser Welders to join our team. A successful candidate is committed to pushing the boundaries of technology performance and innovation. Join us and connect your career to the future!


PacAeros core businesses include an array of electronic connectors and housings for the worlds most extreme environments. PacAero is primarily located in Wenatchee WA with a remote manufacturing site Bonded Metals located in Sequim WA. Working together we employ proprietary technologies best practices engineering and specialized manufacturing techniques to produce hermetic connectors and electronic packaging that perform in the worlds most extreme environments. PacAeros products are hard at work in medical components such as cardiac-function devices on key aerospace & defense programs in space and deep below the earths surface.


The Position:

PacAero is seeking two entry-level individuals to train and learn Laser Welding. No previous experience is required as we provide on the job training for this unique career path. Employees in this position will manufacture highly engineered products principally for the Aerospace Defense and Medical markets.


One of these positions is for Night Shift and the other is for Weekend Day Shift. See shift details.


Shift Details:

  • Day Shift 4x10: Monday through Thursday 4:00am to 2:30pm.
  • Night Shift 4x10: Monday through Thursday 2:15pm to 12:45am; Includes a $2/hr Shift premium. (Will train on Day Shift 1-2 months at start)
  • Weekend Day Shift: Friday through Sunday 5:00am to 6:00pm (earlier leave time if waiving 2nd lunch); Includes a $2/hr Shift premium. Includes 4 stock hours to round up to a 40 hour work week.


Responsibilities:

Primary Responsibilities


  • Work cooperatively with all employees
  • Willing to adapt work schedule to company needs
  • Attendance / Punctuality: Is consistently at work and on time
  • Demonstrate the ability to accurately and efficiently use applicable measuring tools such as but not limited to Calipers Micrometers and Height Gage
  • Demonstrate a basic ability to read and comprehend drawings and other applicable documentation
  • Perform the following assembly functions:
  • Proficient usage of microscope
  • Ability to learn and use applicable area equipment
  • Must be able to install hardware of different variations
  • Must have the ability to work in harsh environments
  • Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned by area Senior I or Senior II
  • Observe safety regulations and follow protective equipment requirements
  • Report hazardous observations to Management personnel
  • Follow daily clean up and housekeeping procedures
  • Comply with all quality safety and work related rules and regulations


These responsibilities will be included in assigned areas:

PRE-WELD ASSEMBLY

Ground spring installation

Staking & Press-fitting connectors

Verifying proper orientation per print

LASER WELD

Operation of Laser Weld Machines

Loading correct programs

How to read applicable job instructions

Properly identifying and assembling necessary tooling

RE-verifying proper orientation per print

Basic troubleshooting skills

WASH

The ability to identify contaminants

The ability to remove and replace solvents as required

The ability to operate specific solvent pump equipment

The ability to perform beginning level procedures

Education/Experience:

High School graduate or General Education Degree
