SR Logistics Coordinator

Thermo Fisher Scientifics Viral Vector Services (VVS) is a rapidly growing gene therapy Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) that is seeking sharp individuals to bring the highest quality processes products and testing to our clients! Schedule/Hours: Rotating 12 hour day shift 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM

Location: Plainville MA

How will you make an impact

Provide logistical support to all departments including the movement of all materials and products to and from all Manufacturing and warehouse areas. Encompasses the verification of all incoming material along with the preparation staging and loading of all shipments.

What Will You Do

  • Ensure the secure punctual and detailed transfer of materials between all production and warehouse storage locations while adhering to all regulatory and internal protocols.
  • Ensure safe timely and accurate confirmation of all inventoriable and non-inventoriable items including inspection for damages confirming quantities and expiries..
  • Follow all Environmental Health & Safety Policies and Procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in site initiatives to improve material handling capabilities
  • Review inventory levels and order materials as needed.
  • Be involved in PPI projects and safety improvements
  • Receiving materials making sure they are processed and maintained in accordance with standard operating procedures including the handling of temperature regulated and hazardous materials and delivery to respective locations.
  • Maintain cGMP compliance to include labeling FEFO documentation cleaning etc.
  • Perform SAP transaction real time to assist in inventory accuracy

How you will get here

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma/General Educational Development (GED) Certificate is required
  • Minimum 2 years warehouse or GMP experience

Knowledge Skills Abilities

  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
  • Strong judgment decision making abilities trouble shooting and thinking-out-of-the-box skills.
  • Familiarity with cGMPs SOPs SAP WHMIS and safety regulations.
  • Use of Personal Protective equipment is required and may include any of the following: safety glasses safety shoes lab coat gloves hair net beard cover safety apron respirator.

Physical Requirements

  • Gown aseptically and/or sterile gown as needed.
  • Walking stooping or kneeling crouching will be required of the employee for roughly 80% of their duties.
  • The employee should be able to lift up to 50 lbs and sit for a maximum of 4 hours.
