The Role:
At Upstox we are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive professional to join our Settlement Operations team. The role involves ensuring smooth and timely settlement of trades handling corporate actions regulatory reporting reconciliations and client servicing. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of capital market settlement processes and be eager to contribute to operational excellence.
What Youll Own:
Manage Retail Trade Settlement including equity pay-in/pay-out of shares
Oversee auction settlement and closeout processes
Handle corporate actions by identifying eligible clients and ensuring timely distribution of entitlements (Dividend Bonus Split Sub-Division Merger Demerger etc.)
Process pledge/unpledge requests of shares from clients
Support system enhancements through testing and implementation of back-office changes
Ensure timely and accurate regulatory reporting
Perform reconciliation of Demat holdings across Pool CUSA and other Demat accounts
Respond to client queries audit queries and inspection requirements
Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve issues and drive improvements
Who You Are:
Graduate/Postgraduate in Finance Commerce or related field
Strong working knowledge of retail trade settlement across capital market products
Proficiency in MS Excel (knowledge of advanced functions preferred)
Familiarity with depositories clearing corporations and settlement cycles
Excellent problem-solving communication and coordination skills
Ability to work independently as well as in a team
Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and timeliness
Openness to leveraging AI-driven tools and automation for enhancing efficiency in settlement processes
