Job Summary

A unique opportunity to become part of a highly engaged and motivated team here at Maersk. The Direct Transport Sales team plays a critical role to sell transport solutions to maximize vessel utilization and profit.

The Senior Client Manager will drive growth of Maersk Ocean service as well as Logistics Services delivering value through adoption of Maersk Logistics Services (L&S products) with our clients.

Also it will build knowledge and understanding of Maersk products industry forwarders and commodity knowledge to position Maersk as the customers advisor of choice.

This Senior Client Manager role is also the supervisor role in the Digital Sales team being as a role model for the team while taking extra initiative and projects for sales volume drive and process improvement


Position open to Miami Florida US local based on a hybrid working schedule.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned customer portfolio to secure business in line with strategic objectives for both transportation and logistics services.
  • Proactively engage into new customer relationships identify high potential customers and develop new business.
  • Ensure opportunities for cross-selling and up-selling are identified based on a deep understanding of the customers business model commodity and pain points.
  • Learn and share key drivers for the given commodity segment (agriculture) to aid internal and external selling.

Required experience & skills

  • A Bachelors degree (ideally) with at least 5 years work experience in a commercial role within the containerized freight industry preferably in the Latin America market.
  • The ideal candidate must possess enthusiasm a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn. They must also be self-starters willing to be resourceful on their own within the organization. We also value great people skills ambition and integrity. The ideal candidate must have excellent interpersonal presentation and communication skills (both written and oral). In addition you must have organizational and time management skills including multi-tasking prioritizing and the ability to plan work activities efficiently to meet deadlines
  • Results driven and capable of working under pressure while keeping sight of the bigger picture and End to End business processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and industry sales related tools.
  • Bilingual preferred but not required.
  • Must be willing to collaborate and work with many other teams within in the organization including but not limited to Pricing Marketing Customer Experience Finance Logistics Service Product owners and Maersk offices globally.

Pay Range:

$80000 - $95000 plus Sales Incentive Plan*

*The above stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary for the position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location. The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.
