Job Summary

Sand Plant Operator 1

Location:

East Boulder - McLeod MT

Schedule:

Rotating - 5x4x4x5 (13-hour shifts)

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

Operates underground backfill plants.
Operates high- pressure slurry pumping systems.
Monitors the slurry silo -ordinates intake and output from silos.
Monitors the slurry intake and output to the Geho backfill pumps at the 6450 and 7200 sand plants as required.
Draw density samples and record pertinent data related to back fill operations.
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot breakdowns.
Maintain operational records on a shift-by-shift basis.
Perform other duties as assigned from time to time at the discretion of the company.

Qualifications and Skills:

Required:

Stationary equipment operations & maintenance background
Piping and valve installation/maintenance
Monitor slurry silo filling and maintain both 6450 and 7200 sand plants
Monitor and maintain sand pours
Communication skills-written and verbal
Perform Backfill Audits
Technical and mechanical aptitude
Authorized to handle explosives per the Safe Explosives Act and be familiar with their use
Compliance with all company safety standards and policies

Preferred:

Mobile equipment experience
Previous sand plant experience
