Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - School - Travel Position
Location: Federal Way WA
Job Type: Travel Contract
Duration: 39weeks
Shift: 5x8s Days
Pay: $1937/week
Job Description:
We are seeking a compassionate School Nurse (LPN) to support the health and well-being of students in an educational setting. The School Nurse will provide basic medical care administer medications manage chronic conditions and respond to health emergencies ensuring a safe and healthy learning environment. The ideal candidate is caring detail-oriented and committed to promoting student health and wellness.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct nursing care including first aid and illness management to students and staff.
Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to physician orders.
Monitor and support students with chronic health conditions (e.g. asthma diabetes allergies).
Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with state health regulations.
Educate students staff and families on health safety and wellness practices.
Collaborate with school staff parents and healthcare providers to support student needs.
Respond promptly to health-related emergencies within the school.
Qualifications:
Active LPN license in WA
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification COVID vaccine TB test
Minimum 1-year Pediatric or school nursing experience
Knowledge of common childhood illnesses chronic condition management and emergency response
