Job Summary

Pay Range:

$24.31 - $36.47

A successful candidates actual pay rate will be based on several factors including relevant experience skills training certifications and education.

HSHS is looking for an Athletic Trainer at our Caterpillar Occupational Health location to provide quality care to or patients through the proper utilization of assessment planning implementation and instruction. Carries out all procedures in accordance with established state and national standards policies protocols and guidelines.

Department: Occupational Health
Core Function: Rehab/Therapy/Sleep
Schedule: Full-time Days Monday-Friday 6:30 AM-3:00 (3:30)
Facility: Occupational Health
Location: Decatur IL
Sign on Bonus: $10000

Education Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in a health-related field from an accredited program is required (Athletic Training preferred).
  • Masters Degree in Athletic Training is preferred.
Experience Qualifications
  • 1 year of experience in athletic training is preferred.
Certifications Licenses and Registrations
  • Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Licensed Athletic Trainer. Illinois: required within 6 months of hire; Wisconsin: required upon hire.
  • Certified BLS or completion in the first 60 days of employment is required.
  • Certified Athletic Trainer is required.
  • Certification as a breathe DOT substance testing collector within 30 days of employment is required.
  • Certification as an urine DOT substance testing collector within 30 days of employment is required.
