Job Description

Job Title: 2nd Shift Production Supervisor

Location: Greenville SC

Reports to: Production Manager

Employment Type: Full-time

Industry: Manufacturing Industrial Machinery Power Transmission

Job Function: Operations Manufacturing Supervision

Job Summary: The Production Supervisor is tasked with overseeing daily manufacturing operations ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards while maintaining productivity metrics. This role involves monitoring employee performance conducting annual performance reviews and implementing corrective actions as needed. The supervisor is responsible for addressing safety infractions ensuring accurate timekeeping entries in Kronos and providing training and mentorship to team members. Additionally the Production Supervisor collaborates with quality assurance and engineering teams to resolve issues supports the Lean Flex Flow Process and actively participates in quarterly supervisor meetings to drive continuous improvement within the production environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Daily Operations Oversight
Oversee daily manufacturing operations to ensure smooth and efficient production processes.
Ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
Employee Performance Monitoring
Monitor employee performance and provide regular feedback.
Conduct annual performance reviews and implement corrective actions as needed.
Safety & Compliance
Address safety infractions promptly and ensure a safe working environment.
Ensure accurate timekeeping entries in Kronos for all team members.

Qualifications:
High school diploma along with at least two years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment required.
Preferred qualifications include an Associates or Bachelors degree in Business or a technical field and five years of supervisory experience.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills organizational abilities and proficiency in data manipulation using M.S. Office applications are also essential for success in this position.
Candidates should also have a solid understanding of manufacturing processes quality control standards and safety regulations.
Strong analytical problem-solving and communication skills are vital for success in this role.
Outlook Excel PowerPoint proficiency.
Candidates should have a good understanding of company policies/handbook and be able to consistently administer them.

Physical Requirements:
Extended periods of sitting at a workstation.
Speaking in person and over the telephone or Teams online and the ability to hear comprehend and document detailed information from others.
Ability to type reach and grasp.
Intermittent standing and walking within the plant environment.
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing for extended periods over the phone and in person.
Ability to work in manufacturing sites including foundries steel mills machine shops forging shops assembly centers etc.

Essential Job Functions:
Provide training and mentorship to team members to enhance their skills and performance.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
Collaborate with quality assurance and engineering teams to resolve production issues.
Support the Lean Flex Flow Process to optimize production efficiency.
Actively participate in quarterly supervisor meetings to drive continuous improvement within the production environment.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices.
Regular in-person attendance at work is a necessary function of the role.
