Job Summary
Position Type: Hybrid
Hybrid Schedule: 2 days onsite a month
Contract Length: 9 months possible extensions
Position Overview:
The Senior Programmer (Technical Specialist) will play a key role in designing developing and maintaining innovative tools that leverage emerging AI technologies within the Health and Human Services Delivery Center. This role includes collaborating with IT staff to define requirements develop solutions manage CI/CD pipelines and support the organizations Azure cloud footprint.
Duties:
Collaborate with IT staff to define systems requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Develop test and implement applications C# and related technologies.
Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline development and deployment processes.
Support and enhance the organizations Azure cloud infrastructure including Docker Kubernetes and Function Apps.
Utilize AI tools such as GitHub Copilot Machine Learning RAG and AI Agents to deliver advanced solutions.
Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to support automation and operational needs.
Conduct system testing debugging and troubleshooting to ensure high-quality application performance.
Apply user-centered design principles including UI/UX best practices wireframes and prototypes.
Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance in complex system development.
Identify track and resolve issues risks and action items related to assigned work.
Support the integration of diverse technologies across multiple platforms.
Provide technical documentation process improvements and ongoing enhancements to existing systems.
Participate in release management ensuring smooth deployments to production environments.
Required Skills:
2 years Experience with AI tools including GitHub Copilot Machine Learning Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and AI Agents
2 years Hands-on experience with Cloud Technologies: Azure Git CI/CD pipelines Docker Kubernetes Function Apps and LaMDA
2 years Proficiency in .NET programming and C#
2 years Experience creating and maintaining PowerShell scripts
2 years Experience with database modeling and design
Preferred Skills:
Experience with Test Automation (Playwright MCP)
Experience with Cloud Messaging technologies (Azure Events Kafka)
