Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:
The key responsibilities of the Inventory Manager may include the following as well as other items required to execute the role

Monitors inventory levels and ensures the weekly increase or decrease in levels are aligned to the business.
Implements inventory stocking strategies
Develops methods and programs to optimize the utilization of inventory
Monitor levels of safety stock global and aging inventory and works with regions and manufacturing plants to address accordingly
Provides updates to inventory projections and creates mitigation plans as needed.
Reviews Slow Moving Inventory (SMI) with regions and involves other functional groups to reduce SMI risks.
Forecast inventory reserves and work create action plan for mitigation
Works with the demand planner to create the netted demand plan
Works with the supply planner to implement stocking strategies for local providers
Work with regions to phase in new product inventory and develop plans for effectively managing replaced inventory

Key Metrics: Gross & Net Inventory $ Inventory Turns Inventory DSOH Slow Moving & Obsolete Inventory Inventory control / accuracy

Qualifications/Requirements:

Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain Management Business Administration or related field or equivalent experience (7 years experience)
Experience in inventory optimization and management supply chain / manufacturing operations within a global/multi-site environment inventory compliance & control
Deep knowledge of SAP and MRP functionality
Ability to work with and influence stakeholders

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills ability to interpret large data sets and generate actionable insights

Strategic thinking with tactical execution with a sense of urgency

Proven track record in leading large / complex inventory control functions and cross-functional projects

Proficiency in supply chain KPIs reporting and performance management

Demonstrated leadership experience managing international or multi-site teams

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced matrixed global organization

Desired Characteristics: Not required but additional preferred elements


Certifications; APICS CPIM CSCP or similar supply chain / inventory management certification highly desirable

Proficiency in data analytics and visualization tools such as Power BI Tableau and advanced Excel
