Job Summary: Delaware Valley Paving is seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Excavator Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating heavy equipment particularly excavators in a variety of job site conditions. Youll be responsible for digging grading trenching and site preparation work in a safe and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities: - Operate excavators to complete construction and paving-related tasks.
- Excavate trenches foundations and backfill as required.
- Read and interpret site plans blueprints and grade stakes.
- Perform routine maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues.
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
- Collaborate with site supervisors and crew members to meet project timelines.
Requirements:
- Proven experience operating excavators or other heavy equipment.
- Valid drivers license (CDL preferred but not required).
- OSHA certification is a plus.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions.
- Strong understanding of site safety practices and procedures.
