Your role

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Higher-Level Teaching Assistant who can teach PE lessons as well as lessons in the wider curriculum for pupils EYFS to Year 6. You will have expertise/specialism in Sport demonstrating sound knowledge of the National PE addition to organise and run sports clubs for an hour a day after school 3 days a week and two half hour lunch time sessions.

We are looking for applicants who are flexible calm and well organised. You should work well in a team and be able to use your own initiative when required. You will lead the teaching of regular timetabled sessions and classes under the direction of the class teacher

You will need:

• to have a good understanding of classroom management and the ability to successfully follow the schools behaviour policy
• good subject knowledge especially in PE as well as wider curriculum subjects
• good organisational and communication skills
• to work well as a team member but also use considerable initiative and contribute to planning where appropriate
• to be sensitive to the needs of all children
• show a commitment to support the ethos of the school
• an ability to implement its policies including Safeguarding Child Protection Equal Opportunities and Health and Safety curriculum and first aid.
