About the job
In this role youll work closely with a skilled team of developers and testers to ensure the reliability and performance of our backend systems. These systems handle the configuration and management of smart devices connected to our central alarm unitsadding replacing updating and deleting devices in a secure and seamless way.
What Youll Do
- Be part of assuring quality across our Java-based backend systems
- Design and execute both manual and automated tests with a strong focus on API testing and integration validation
- Contribute to our CI/CD processes with deployment debugging and monitoring
You will be joining a collaborative team of 15 skilled and fun colleagues led by Annette Skog a supportive and caring leader who always trusts her team to do their best. Shes also a positive and social manager who likes structure and to get things done. About you
We believe youre an experienced and curious test engineer with a strong technical background. You enjoy solving complex challenges and take pride in crafting efficient high-quality testing processes. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are eager to learn improve and contribute to the teams success.
Must-Have Skills
- Strong experience with Python
- Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks (e.g. Robot Framework Appium or similar)
- Comfortable using Git and Bitbucket as your main IDE
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools
- Experience using API testing tools like Insomnia Postman or similar
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Knowledge of or experience with Kubernetes
- Experience working with Java (especially if youve done Java development)
- Familiarity with Jira and related project tools
