JOB TITLE: Pension Processor 1
DEPARTMENT: Pension Accounting
REPORTS TO:Tracy Thompson
JOB DUTIES:
Provides service to the participants of the Pension Funds administered by Zenith American Solutions.
Responsibilities include:
- Assists members with problems and questions regarding their pension by telephone in person or by mail
- Conducts interviews responds to general inquiries conducts initial visit follow-ups and application processing by appointment
- Reviews and explains application processing and documentation requirements plan options benefits vesting and eligibility status with participants
- Calculates pension benefit entitlements estimates and finalizes files
- Performs various clerical duties (typing filing copying microfilm & microfiche research etc.) as required
- Documents participant interaction via utilization of the Get Next Tracking System (or its equivalent)
- Performs back-up functions of Level 1-4
- Prepares and types brief on disability applications and problem files
- Must meet the departments quality and production standards for this job as provided on the work standards grid.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum Education & Experience
- HS or GED
- Prior pension knowledge helpful
- Bilingual-Preferred
Mental/Visual concentration or Manual Dexterity
Requires normal concentration easily learned simple movements.
Computer Operations
- Must be Computer literate.
- Demonstrates strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel & Word Typing skills to meet or exceed 35 WPM
- General knowledge of 10-key
Physical Work Environment
- Normal degree of physical effort in typical office environment with comfortable constant temperatures and absence of objectionable elements.
- May be subject to interruptions.
- May be required to lift a maximum of 25 lbs.
- Meets established attendance and punctuality guidelines.
