Job Summary

N-iXis looking for a Data Specialist with an automotive background to help shape and enhance our vehicle data systems.

About the client:

Our customer is the European online car market with over 30 million monthly users with a market presence in 18 countries. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of online car markets and enhancing the user experience for millions of car buyers and sellers.

Responsibilities:

Manage the vehicle taxonomy as the basis for presenting classifieds on the customers platform spanning Europe and Canada.
Research on new and established car manufacturers to expand and improve the vehicle Taxonomy
Integrate and taxonomies from multiple sources into the customers internal systems and publish them across various platforms.
Improve the efficiency of Taxonomy management by exploring advanced technologies and the use of AI.
Use metrics on data availability and user interaction to make informed decisions on how to further expand clients vehicle Taxonomy.
Coordinate and execute on cross-functional projects with technical and non-technical teams.

Requirements:

Extensive knowledge and enthusiasm about cars makes models and the general car market.
Relevant experience in working with information management systems taxonomies ontologies or data modelling.
Proficiency in SQL.
Upper-intermediate English proficiency enabling seamless communication in a global team.
Exceptional communication skills with a proactive and collaborative approach.
Strong self-management skills a proactive attitude and a results-driven mindset focused on delivering outcomes efficiently.

Nice-to-have:

Proven skills in data retrieval and data research techniques.
Familiarity with semantic web technologies (e.g. RDF) and familiarity with ontology editors (e.g. Protg PoolParty) is a plus.
Familiarity with agile methods and the software engineering lifecycle.
First experience in coding or working in software projects is a plus.
