Role: React /Python AWS Serverless Engineer
Location: Princeton NJ (Onsite)
Position Overview:
Drive technical leadership and delivery with expertise in Amazon SageMaker Kubernetes/EKS and familiarity with generative AI frameworks including AWS Bedrock agents and LangGraph.
Run daytoday technical leadership for the offshore squad: plan sprints refine user stories track sprint metrics and remove blockers quickly.
Provide handson guidance in a modern React/AWS/LLM stack; review PRs set coding standards and coach engineers toward independent problemsolving.
Engineer/build React and Python rapid prototypes or production-ready code for high complexity high visibility requirements.
Enforce architectural patterns and cloud guardrails; prefer fully managed services over bespoke builds
Ensure all solutions and processes are documented and be responsible for document lifecycle management.
Maintain a tight feedback loop with product/architecture leads; surface risks early and convert business context into clear technical direction.
Coordinate delivery of project milestones across offshore/US teams to ensure one accountable delivery stream.
Drive agile & support process across time zones: daily standups office hours for rapid Q&A and a clear escalation path.
Track delivery health in Jira (throughput blockers rework) and report concise status to stakeholders.
Success in 90 days
Flow: Reduce average team blocker time to <1 business day and cut avoidable rework via upfront design reviews.
Quality: PR review checklist in place; defect rate trending down sprint over sprint.
Velocity: Consistent predictable story completion with visible sprint goals and actuals.
Architecture: Decisions logged; team consistently uses approved managed services and patterns.
Selfsufficiency: Offshore engineers demonstrate improved research/triage before escalation.
Qualifications:
7 years in modern full-stack engineering with 5 years deep in React. Experience mentoring React developers and setting technical standards.
2 years in LLM application development and modern LLM-enabled coding practices.
Solid grasp of frontend architecture (state management performance testing accessibility) and integration with APIs/backends.
Cloud delivery experience (preferably AWS) with a bias toward managed services and cost/operational efficiency.
Proven leadership of offshore teams and multivendor delivery; proven track record for effective communication and expectationsetting across time zones.
Strong Agile practice: story slicing definition of ready/done metrics in Jira and pragmatic ceremony management.
High degree of familiarity with current software engineering methodologies source code control project management and issue tracking best practices.
