Job Description
Berglund Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram Fiat in Roanoke VA is looking for skilled and motivated Diesel Technicians / Diesel Mechanics to join our growing service department. Job Responsibilities
As a Diesel Technician you will be responsible for performing high-quality maintenance and repair work on diesel trucks and vehicles. Responsibilities include:
Diagnose maintain and repair diesel engines drivetrains emissions systems and fuel systems
Perform work specified on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy in accordance with manufacturer and dealership standards
Test-drive vehicles and use diagnostic equipment to identify mechanical issues
Execute warranty repairs according to Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram and Fiat manufacturer guidelines
Communicate effectively with Service Advisors to explain needed repairs and provide accurate time estimates
Maintain a safe clean and organized work environment
Requirements
Previous experience as a Diesel Technician / Diesel Mechanic required
FCA/Stellantis (Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram Fiat) experience a plus
Strong knowledge of diesel systems and ability to use diagnostic tools and specialized service equipment
High School Diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred
Valid Drivers License and clean driving record required
Strong attention to detail safety and problem-solving skills
Excellent teamwork and customer service skills
Willingness to stay up to date with changing automotive technology
