Work Hours: Full-time position. Opportunity of permanent employment afterqualifying period

Location: Burnaby BC

Wages:Opportunitiesfor wage increases as you progress through your apprenticeship

Level1 Apprentice - $25/hr
Level2 Apprentice - $30/hr
Level3 Apprentice - $35/hr
Level 4 Apprentice - $40/hr

This is yourchance to learn from experienced mentors develop hands-on mechanical skillsand contribute to maintaining a fleet that helps visitors from around the worldexplore beautiful British Columbia.

YOUR WORK WILL INCLUDE

Assist seniormechanics and engineers with maintenance inspections and repairs on ourdiverse fleet
Work closely withan experienced team of engineers learning from their knowledge and expertise
Learn to diagnoseissues perform adjustments and replace parts using specialized tools andequipment.
Get exposure tovarious systems: brakes suspensions hydraulics transmissions electricalair conditioning and multiplex systems
Carry out routinemaintenance and repairs
Support withwelding body repairs fabrications and glass fitting
Help ensure busesare maintained to the highest safety standard
Completing driver defects and remedial work arising from inspections

WHAT WE LIKE ABOUT YOU

Eagermotivated and hardworking individual who is ready to grow in a busy garageenvironment
Strongwillingness to learn and develop your technical skills
Basicknowledge of automotive heavy duty bus systems and are working towards your apprentice levels
Goodproblem-solving skills and attention to detail
Proficient in using a computer to complete job cards
Effectivecommunication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part ofa team
Apositive attitude and passion for getting the job done right the first time
Have a flexible schedule with availability to work a variety of hours which may include early mornings evenings weekends and/or holidays
Youhave a Class 5 Drivers Licence for at least 3 years.
ABC Commercial Drivers Licence Class 1 2 or 3 with air brake is an asset
Musthave your own tools
