Benton County Oregon is seeking a Operations Manager-Roadsfor the Public Works-Road Division of Benton County.
JOB SUMMARY
Manages the Public Works Road Division. Serve as a key member of the departments emergency management team. Responsible for long-range policy and strategic planning for management of the county road system. Develops management systems for a complex multimillion dollar budget balancing staffing levels equipment needs and material expenditures. Collaborates with other division managers and the director to establish and review department policy. Represents the county on Public Works operations issues at public meetings hearings and with other government agencies. Negotiate contracts and partnerships with locals state and/or federal agencies.

$101853.02 - $142594.40
Note: salary placement will be based on your level of directly related experience and education consistent withOregons pay equity law.
This position is eligible for up to two salary raises within your first year. An Increase may be given at the end of the 6-month probationary period and at the 1-year anniversary as long as your performance is in good standing! Annual performance-based increases are given until the maximum of the salary range is reached.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS The following minimum qualifications are requiredfor this position:
Bachelors degree in a related field.
At least 7 years of progressively responsible experience in Road Maintenance program management or similar position with at least 3 years in a management or supervisory role.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
