Job Description

An incredible opportunity awaits you as a HSE Intern!

As an HSE Intern you will support the Health Safety and Environment team in promoting a safe and healthy workplace. You will work in a collaborative crossfunctional geographically diverse team. You will be assisting with hazard assessments for processes and equipment inspecting and evaluating workplace environments equipment and practices for regulatory compliance and helping design and implement workplace processes including engineering controls and procedures to protect workers from potentially hazardous conditions. Additionally you will perform recordkeeping functions participate in incident investigations to identify causes and corrective actions and support and monitor Near Misses and Observations for HSE support.

This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in HSE practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of our safety culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • PPE Risk Assessment Develop a Risk Assessment process and then implement at the workshops to set PPE standards and minimum requirements.
  • HSE Program Development Review current HSE Programs and identify opportunities for new or updated HSE Programs.

Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a degree in Environmental Science Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of health safety and environmental regulations and standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Location:

New Orleans LA Houston TX or Lynnwood WA

Expected Duration:

Mid/End of May Mid-August

Work Hours:

Monday Friday 8 am 5 pm or 7 am 4 pm
