Test Engineer II

We are looking for an experienced software test engineer who has proven testing credentials and strives to make significant contributions to software quality. As a test engineer you are fluent in testing strategies and tools. You will have the opportunity to interact with others in Process Quality Assurance and other engineering groups to define document analyze perform and interpret tests for software products application code system processes or modifications to these software processes. You will identify functional problems and suggest resolutions to the responsible developer. You will assist in the definition of internal quality control standards and the maintenance of reliability programs. You will develop maintain and analyze test cases and provide regular progress reports. 

  Key Areas of Responsibility

• Architect and implement robust test frameworks including performance and scale testing.

• Identifies functional problems and suggests resolutions.

• Assists in the definition of internal quality control standards and the maintenance of reliability programs.

• Work with product development and test team members to define drive and execute test initiatives.

• Defines test cases according to product feature specifications.

• Owns the qualification process for new development activity.

• Participates in the preparation review and analysis of software requirements and specifications.

• Clearly communicates project issues and status to management.

• Reviews and implements test strategies for software products.

• Maintains proficiency of SQL Server and Azure DevOps. 

• Executes scripts and validates results.

• Identifying analyzing and interpreting trends or patterns in data sets.

• Responsible for verifying the accuracy and quality of data based on specific business rules

• Responsible for performing regression testing on various data sets. 

• Coordinates deployments across all teams.

• Ensures compliance with internal policies procedures and internal controls in accordance with the Sarbanes- Oxley Act 2002 Section 404.

Qualifications :

• BS in Computer Science Engineering or related field or at least 3-5 years of previous experience in testing or a related field.

• Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals a certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.

• Experienced in all phases and procedures related to Test Case Management and commonly used concepts practices and procedures in the testing field required.

• Ability to effectively communicate business issues and needs at a management level.

• Experience with designing and implementing test frameworks tools and libraries.

• Must be able to multi-task and work on multiple projects simultaneously.

• Travel may be required as needed to support clients.

The salary range for this position is $73725 - $98300 / year.

The hiring base salary / wage rate range above represents what Avery Dennison reasonably expects to pay for this position as of the date of this posting. Actual salaries will vary within the range and in some circumstances may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to a candidates relevant skills experience education and training and location as well as the job scope and complexity responsibilities and regular and/or necessary travel required for the position which may change depending on the candidate pool.
