As a Project Engineer at Polaris you will lead cross-functional efforts to design develop and launch innovative powersports products. Youll manage technical execution across engineering disciplines ensuring projects meet performance cost and timing targets. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer who thrives in a fast-paced collaborative environment and is passionate about delivering high-quality products that embody Polariss Think Outside spirit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead engineering project execution from concept through production launch.
  • Collaborate with design manufacturing sourcing and quality teams to ensure robust product development.
  • Develop and manage project timelines budgets and technical deliverables.
  • Drive issue resolution and risk mitigation throughout the development cycle.
  • Support validation and testing activities including prototype builds and field evaluations.
  • Communicate project status and technical decisions to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with Polaris engineering standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Electrical or Systems Engineering (Masters preferred).
  • 3 years of experience in product development or project engineering preferably in automotive or powersports.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles CAD tools and product lifecycle management.
  • Excellent communication organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to travel occasionally to manufacturing sites and test locations.
  • US Citizen or Permanent Resident Status

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Polaris product lines or similar vehicles.
  • Familiarity with DFMEA DVP&R and APQP processes.
  • Knowledge of embedded systems vehicle dynamics or powertrain systems.

The starting pay range for Minnesota is $78000 to $103000 per year. Individual salaries and positioning within the range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education experience knowledge skills and geography. While individual pay could fall anywhere in the range based on these factors it is not common to start at the high end or top of the range.

To qualify for this position former employees must be eligible for rehire and current employees must be in good standing.
