Job Summary
Make a visible impact every day by keeping our Reston office running smoothly and welcoming. As a Facilities Specialist youll be the go-to support for meetings events and daily operationsensuring our spaces are clean stocked and ready for collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
Office Support: Provide daily operational support under the guidance of the Facility Manager. Act as a helpful and responsive presence regularly engaging with customers and the public in a positive professional manner.
Meeting Room Setup: Assist with set up and breakdown meeting rooms to guarantee a smooth professional environment for all gatherings and events.
Office Supply Management: Monitor and maintain office supply inventories ensuring necessary items are always well stocked and available.
Facility Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and organization in all common areas including cafes conference rooms and reception spaces. Conduct regular inspections restock supplies and address maintenance needs promptly.
Event Coordination: Support the setup execution and breakdown of company events and meetings. Coordinate with the Meetings & Events team prepare meeting spaces and assist with audiovisual equipment if necessary.
Administrative Tasks: Handle light data entry printing laminating and general clerical duties. Provide backup coverage for the receptionist and mail room as required.
Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety protocols report hazards or maintenance issues promptly and assist during evacuations or emergencies to maintain a secure workplace.
Qualifications
High school diploma
1 years experience working in facilities or a related field
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
Strong interpersonal skills and self-motivation
Proficiency in Outlook Word Excel and Teams
Excellent customer service skills for building and maintaining professional relationships with a diverse group including clients employees visitors business associates and the public
Effective communication and problem-solving abilities
Physical Requirements
Environment: Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
Physical Demands: Frequent bending kneeling squatting twisting reaching standing walking and lifting
