Within Thales Naval Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) has been implemented to bridge the gap between strategic and operational planning. Responsible for this process is the S&OP team which comprises of eight highly motivated and skilled professionals.

We are seeking for a dynamic and experienced S&OP Supply Planner to join the S&OP team.
The key focus of this role is establish a long term forecast for our procured parts/materials and align this with all stakeholders. This role will also be responsible for a part of the S&OP supply plan of Industries and therefore work closely together with the S&OP Supply Planner for Industries.
This role is pivotal to ensure the seamless alignment of our supply chain operations with our strategic and operational plans. The S&OP Supply Planner plays an essential role in ensuring a balanced and efficient (external) supply chain supporting the organizations overall goals of meeting customer demand optimizing inventory and reducing costs.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes for Procurement to balance supply and demand in the 636-month horizon by aligning supply chain strategies with business goals.
- Prepare and facilitate the Supply Review Meeting with procurement management.
- Create a long-term Material forecast which is key input for procurement to establish/update Long Term Agreements and the timely procurement of (long lead) items to meet our forecasted demand at optimal prices.
- Prepare and facilitate the production- and resource plan and the supply review meeting for Industries together with the Supply Planner for Industries to meet forecasted demand.
- Work out scenarios together with Procurement and Industry to address changes in demand and/or supply with focus on demand/supply imbalances (Materials Man- and Bottleneck Machine capacity) as input for Supply Review and Executive Management.
- Handover the S&OP material forecast and supply plan to Procurement and Industries
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within S&OP Supply Planning.

Why youd be a good match
- Proven experience in S&OP supply chain planning preferably in a complex high mix low volume production environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in Master Production Scheduling (MPS) and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) preferably Oracle.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to see the bigger picture in a complex environment.
- Excellent communication skills to explain the S&OP Material Forecast Production Plan Resource Plan and different scenarios to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Preferably experience in procurement of high tech parts and materials
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and senior management.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management Business Administration or a related field.
- Certification in supply chain or materials management (e.g. APICS CPIM).
