About the area
For nearly a century the School of Psychological Science at UWA has been conducting ground-breaking research while training world-leading scientists and practitioners in the discipline of psychology. Today our academic staff includes more than 40 teaching and research leaders with expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methods research co-design and advanced analytical techniques. The School is equipped with excellent research facilities supported by numerous granting agencies and industry partnerships and hosts leading research groups including the Centre for the Advancement of Research on Emotion (CARE) the WA Suicide Prevention and Resilience Research Centre (SPARRC) and the WA Centre for Road Safety Research (WACRSR).
As a research-intensive school one of our core strengths lies in research on psychological aspects of health and wellbeing spanning areas such as clinical psychology clinical neuropsychology neurodiversity emotion regulation cognition and emotion human factors and health service delivery and child and family mental health. We are seeking an outstanding scholar who will complement and grow our strengths by driving an ambitious program of original and impactful research while also contributing to excellence in education and service.
