Minimum N3 in millwright trade theory and trade tested
Experience 5 years experience post trade test
RequirementsClear criminal record
Competencies:- Sound understanding of drawings
- Fundamentals of fault finding andequipment testing
- Have knowledge and understanding of:
- Workshop / Tool room work
- Utilization of the full range ofhand and power tools (including welder millingmachine lathe).
- Technical principles anddrawings (e.g. assembliesand spare part findingpneumatic hydraulicelectric).
- Making proper sketches for part equipment.
- Sound knowledge on Heath & Safety and safe working procedures
Skills:- Installation of electrical andmechanical related equipment.
- Fault finding and problem solving.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to act decisively andurgently.
- High level of emotional intelligenceand interpersonal skills.
- Process (material feeding and drying injection moulding and reheat stretch blow moulding).
- The technology applied in all processes utilized in the factory related to mechanics hydraulics and pneumatics.

Role and ResponsibilitiesTechnical- Fault analysis and problem solving:
- Do fault analysis and problem solving in many different fields of expertisedepending on complexity together with Maintenance Manager / team and asassigned by Maintenance Manager.
Take responsibility for:- Work shop.
- Services room and its technical equipment for compressed air and coolingwater.
- Technical infrastructure (building water and air supplies).company bakkie.
- Identify immediately report and rectify all technical areas of concern on assignedequipment.
- Recognize and report problems to Maintenance Manager on other than theassigned equipment.
Repairs- Rectify any defective equipment or tooling as assigned by the MaintenanceManager.
- Know when to improvise be innovative but remember to follow with the properrepair.
- Assist Maintenance Manager in identifying when to involve suppliers ( or external suppliers)
Maintenance- Develop maintenance plans and check lists on assigned equipment together with
- Maintenance Manager / Team.
- Ensure maintenance on assigned equipment is done at required intervalsaccording to the plans:
- By yourself.
- By service suppliers as agreed by Maintenance Manager.
- Document maintenance according to the plans.
- Ensure general maintenance on equipment (oil and grease) as agreed with responsible person
Spares:- Identify spares needed for assigned equipment.
- As a preventative measure identified during maintenance checks.
Construction- Building of racks stands dividers etc. using wood steel concrete and otherbuilding materials.
- Factory installations (e.g. pipe work electrical cabling together with electricianmachine installation).
Management- Have an overview what needs to be done and report to Maintenance Manager.
- Give completion dates and fulfill tasks required by Maintenance Manager.
- Ensure sound relationships and communication with internal work-related staff(other technical team members Production Planning etc.)
- Plastics Toolroom / Technical department suppliers etc.).
- Work efficiently.
- Strive for improvement research and make suggestions.
Administration- Log jobs performed.
- Contact external suppliers as agreed with Maintenance Manager to assist insolving problems (quotes on service spare parts etc.).
- Report tools needed to Maintenance Manager
Spares:- Have an overview of existing stock for equipment.
- Spare part analysis ( keep stock vs. source at breakdown).
- Likelihood of wear/breakage vs. cost vs. delivery time.
- Report parts needed to Maintenance Manager and assist in decision to haveon stock or source at breakdown.
- Assist Maintenance Manager in ordering process (e.g. prepare documentsfollow up on orders).
- Plan for the year ahead assist Maintenance Manager with work on budget for maintenance.
Health & Safety
- Ensure and enforce that aspects in area of responsibility conform to Health and safety requirements.
- Maintain housekeeping standards in area of responsibility (e.g. ensurecleanliness of technical areas stores workshops and machines).
- Work safely and report on safety hazards or issues.
Food (Product) Safety:- Food safety standards are site specific and at these sites employees should:
- Apply the sites food safety principles and standards.
- Report any food safety hazards or issues to your Supervisor/Manager
- Comply to and maintain all GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) inrelation to the Companys FSMS (Food Safety Management System).
