Job Summary:

The Division of Rheumatology at the University of Colorado seeks a part-time (0.5 FTE) Assistant Professor of Clinical Practice to practice at the UCHealth Lone Tree Medical Center in Lone Tree CO. This position would involve a range of general rheumatology care collaboration with rheumatology APPs interaction with medical trainees inclusive of rheumatology fellows and support of primary care and other subspecialties in the facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Clinical duties include outpatient clinical care at the UCHealth Lone Tree.

Teaching activities may include leading formal/informal teaching sessions. Academic responsibilities may include active participation in rheumatology conferences with the Anschutz Medical Campus quality improvement initiatives or other scholarly activities.

Interactions with faculty at the Anschutz Campus and clinical research collaborations are highly encouraged.

The clinician will have opportunity for academic promotion judged on criteria of demonstrated excellence as a clinician educator and scholar.

Work Location: Onsite this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Lone Tree and Aurora CO.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

Assistant Professor:

  • MD or DO. Board certified or board-eligible in rheumatology.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current State of Colorado Medical License and DEA by the employment start date. 0-7 years experience as an MD or DO

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and orally.

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution.

  • Outstanding customer service skills.
