The PACS Systems Analyst 1 maintains and facilitates implementations of systems and databases to ensure optimum performance of automated systems. Manages Information System project/products to provide automated solutions that meet Inova Health Systems business needs. Participates in system technical and application reviews to determine feasibility cost and evaluate usefulness for Inova Health System. Communicates project and team status to internal and external audiences to keep project team informed.

PACS Systems Analyst 1Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for providing first-level support troubleshooting and maintenance of the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) within Inova Health System.
- Ensures that medical imaging systems operate efficiently supporting radiologists and clinical staff in accessing and managing imaging data.
- Works closely with team leads to assist with system functionality workflow optimization and user training.
- Evaluates requests for service and follows through as evidenced by completion of system evaluation forms and requirements documentation in accordance with IT documentation standards. Communicates status and closure with vendors and end users through status reports and issues list and escalates to manager as required in accordance with established policy.
- Analyzes IT processes and workflow to identify alternative system or technology solutions. Provides input to application design to support system modifications or enhancements as evidenced creating functional specifications assisting end users in developing system requirements and documenting system/user procedures in accordance with Technology Services standards. Responds to and supports system issues/requests and communicates with end user on status and closure of tickets as evidenced by following documented on call downtime and request for service procedures in accordance with Technology Services documentation standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education:Associate degree; or HS Diploma/GED and 2 years of relevant professional experience in addition to the minimum experience required
- Experience:1 year experience in supporting developing analyzing manual and automated system needs in a healthcare environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of prior PACS support either as an Administrator or Coordinator.
