Level 3: the post holder will have contact with children and/or young people either frequently (e.g. once a week or more) or intensively (e.g. four days in one month or more or overnight) because they work country programs; or are visiting country programs; or because they are responsible for implementing the police checking/vetting process staff.
ROLE PURPOSE:
The Health Officer will support the implementation and monitoring of adolescent sexual and reproductive health (ASRH) interventions across primary health care facilities and communities under the PATHWAYS project. Working under the supervision of the Senior Health Officer they will contribute to the system strengthening work as well as community engagement and training activities to promote and deliver quality gender-responsive adolescent-friendly and safe SRHR services in line with national guidelines and Save the Children standards.

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
Project Implementation and Coordination
Planning and Reporting
Monitoring Evaluation Accountability and Learning (MEAL):
Partnership and Capacity Building:
Assist in coordinating and co-facilitating training sessions for health workers CHWs and peer educators on adolescent-friendly services and SGBV response.
Support local partners in planning and executing community-level SRHR activities ensuring adherence to Save the Children guidelines and policies and to project SOPs
Other Duties:
Ensure compliance with Save the Childrens policies and procedures including child safeguarding gender equality and code of conduct.
Undertake any other tasks as assigned by the Senior Health Officer or Project Manager in support of the project.

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors degree health/medical related field.
At least 12 years of experience implementing health programs preferably in adolescent SRHR.
Experience supervising/supporting public health service delivery in rural or underserved settings.
Familiarity with adolescent-friendly SRHR approaches gender-responsive services or gender-based violence response is an asset.
Basic experience in data collection and activity reporting.
Proficient in Microsoft Word Excel and Outlook.
Commitment to upholding adolescent sexual and reproductive health and rights including gender equality and youth participation.
Commitment to Save the Childrens values and safeguarding principles.
