Controls Engineer Co-Op - Spring 2026Here at Entegris we use advanced science to enable technologies that transform the world and we are seeking employees who have the drive to continue the ROLEOur site in Burnet TX is seeking a/an Controls Engineer Co-Op to join our team for the Spring 2026 season. This assignment is intended to be 6 months in this exciting role the Controls Engineer Co-Op will assist in developing new high purity solid precursor delivery systems for advanced node chemistries for the semiconductor industry. The ideal candidate will exhibit the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced continuous improvement environment focused on safety quality and equipment Youll DoCoordinate project timelines with lead controls engineering NPD managementCreate PLC and HMI code based on end-user requirements as defined in IO sheets sequence charts alarms/interlock charts P&IDs and control panel electrical schematics Support New-Product-Development (NPD) scientists and engineers in use and troubleshooting of controller equipment including sensors transmitters remote IO analog scales temperature controllers overlimit controllers and other microcontrollers Make programming changes online for retrofitting or upgrading equipment Coordinate project timelines with NPD management Quote components and order parts directly with outside vendors Work safely and drive process improvements Listen actively and solve problems in a structured manner Manage change through cross-functional partnering in a global environment What We SeekDemonstrated experience within a global multicultural multi-location organization serving the semiconductor of electrical controllers (PLC/PAC) including how to read/write/edit logic using IEC 61131-3 languages (Ladder FBD Structured Text SFC) with a command of program scan time timers interlocks latches control loops and conditional statements affecting electrical inputs/outputs. Proficiency knowledge or willingness to become proficient in controls / software related tools (Python Ignition SQL etc.) Tenacity to drive projects to world class performance in a timely to work in a team integrity and high degree of of project teams to develop creative solutions to technical problems is communication skills up down and across the organization with project teams stakeholders and senior Major(s) & Graduation YearMajor in Controls Engineering or related subjectGraduation year 2026-2027EligibilityMust be a currently enrolled studentAvailable to work 40 hours a week M-F (8a-5p) beginning in January through June.
