DescriptionThe Consolidations and Financial Reporting Senior Accountant is responsible for actively participating in the companys financial consolidation process and contributing to the timely and accurate preparation and filing of SEC reports including 10-Q 10-K and other required filings. This position will contribute to the monthly close and external reporting processes assist in ensuring compliance with SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission) regulations US GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley). The successful candidate will be enthusiastic detail-oriented and enjoys working in a collaborative environment.
JOB DUTIES:
- Independently prepare accounting entries completes accounting closing transactions and consolidation steps as part of the monthly quarterly and year-end close
- Assist with ensuring compliance with SEC US GAAP and Sarbanes Oxley regulations
- Actively participate in the documentation of required disclosures associated with our quarterly and annual filings of Forms 10-Q/10-K
- Willingness to learn grow and develop to become a subject matter expert
- Present critical information to other departments management and/or external auditors in a clear professional manner
- Commit to being proactive over reactionary while applying critical thinking skills
- Perform financial and analytical support as required
YOU MUST HAVE:
- 5 years of experience in accounting and/or financial reporting
- 2 years of experience with U.S. GAAP and/or SEC reporting
- Moderate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
WE VALUE:
- 2 years of experience in consolidation processes and/or financial reporting preparing public filings (e.g. 10K 10Q 8K Earnings)
- Industry experience in a multinational public company environment preferably in a global organization
- Experience preparing statements of cash flow shareholders equity and/or equity transactions
- Working knowledge of Intercompany eliminations and/or foreign currency translations
- Working knowledge of financial systems/applications (e.g. Hyperion HFM Workiva)
- Demonstration of financial and analytical skills with the ability to think creatively and innovatively
- Ability to adapt to changing environments
