About the Role

Do you love working with your hands solving problems on the go and hitting the open road Velociti is looking for driven adaptable Heavy Equipment Techniciansto join our growing team and help power the future of logistics and fleet technology across the country.
As a Heavy Equipment Technician youll be the go-to expert for installing troubleshooting and maintaining advanced 12-volt electronic and IoT systems on heavy-duty vehicles and equipment. Youll travel across the country supporting leading companies and making sure their equipment performs at its bestall while representing Velocitis commitment to quality safety and innovation.

What Youll Do

  • Travel nationwide to install troubleshoot and repair advanced electronic and IoT technology systems on heavy equipment.
  • Perform inspections and preventative maintenance on installed systems to ensure optimal functionality and compliance with quality standards.
  • Utilize diagnostic computers and software for troubleshooting and configuration.
  • Perform all work in accordance with standard operating procedures engineering specifications and safety protocols.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services performed using mobile computing devices and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Communicate clearly with customers team members and project leaders to ensure clarity of expectations and resolution of issues.
  • Independently manage service schedules and travel itineraries in coordination with dispatch or operations teams.

Who You Are

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in 12-volt electronics automotive mechanical or related technical work.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and basic electrical knowledge (DVOM testing battery systems etc.).
  • System voltages from 12 volt to 48 volt DC power.
  • Understanding of hydraulics and electrical drive systems.
  • Valid drivers license with an acceptable driving record in accordance with Velocitis insurance guidelines.
  • Comfort with frequent nationwide travel including overnight weekends and overtime to meet customer demands.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and a knack for troubleshooting.
  • Ability to work independently and follow procedures precisely.
  • Basic tech skillsMicrosoft Office mobile apps digital documentation.
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds stand kneel crouch climb ladders
  • Perform physical tasks in varied environments and temperatures both indoors and outdoors.
Preferred Skills
  • Prior experience with diesel equipment heavy construction equipment or specialty vehicle lines.
  • Formal technical training or certification in automotive electrical or electronics repair.
  • Prior field service or mobile installation experience.
