Postdoctoral Associate - Alzheimers disease and repeat expansion disorders
Ph.D. Degree
The Nguyen lab in the UF College of Medicine is seeking a talent postdoc to join our productive research group at the Center for Neurogenetics University of Florida.
The postdoc will study molecular mechanisms that repeat expansion variants contribute to Alzheimers and other neurodegenerative diseases.
Conduct key experiments proposed in our funded project and will explore the new research ideas to expand our research avenues to identify additional AD risk genes and to develop disease models.
Work on the projects studying molecular mechanisms that recently identified Alzheimers disease risk repeat expansion variants contribute to disease.
Annual salary range is $58656 - $60000 and is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Ph.D. Degree
Experience in studying repeat expansion disorders Alzheimers disease human genetics transcriptomic analysis epigenetic study patient derived models mouse models of neurodegenerative disorders immuno-based methods CRISPR/Cas based tools and molecular pathways.
